This product hasnt worked since day 1. Im very tech savvy so Im sure its not user error. The setup (personalization) is amazingly cumbersome and irritating. The execution of the apps features are simply non-existent. Ive never given a review on a product / app but HAD to warn others to not waste your money on this. This was obviously designed and coded by a bunch of nerds who have no concept of public at large. Save your money (hardware costs).

I am tech savvy and have setup many home entertainment systems, but this is one of the most difficult products I have ever setup. Once its setup its a great product.

Having our RedEye on my phone makes life so easy. We love the convenience of NOT having to search for the remote- because we always know where our phones are! My husband is a quadriplegic and had no problem figuring our how to hook the RedEye up. We have multiple components that we both control through either the computer or iPhone. Our main reason for purchasing the RedEye was so that he could change the channel, etc himself. It works beautifully and allows him to feel a bit of independence.

Ive been using Redeye for the last 2 years and this release has significant speed improvements on launch.

It is a great app I love it it is getting better after each update, you can not get any other remote that does the same thing that red eye does. Price very reasonable. Be patient with up it has so much to offer. I control all my audio video with it. After setting it up my wife can finally use all my equipments with one commend. Very easy to use but needs some time to program it is excellent after updates. I love it I use it and install them for others

They neglect to tell you the company is closed and not supporting anything no more.

Sorry to see that Thinkflood is closing its shop. This product is well designed and works great. You have to put some time into configuring your devices, but once done it works well. With some luck, some other company will pick up the IP and software from this company and keep the ball rolling.

I do like the app, I am not a techy, but have an IT department that set the red eye up and has fixed it when I have trouble. I have seen a great improvement in the amount of time my IT department has had to spend on it as the versions have gone by, and am not happy that it is shutting down if that is true.

Doesnt support perfectly good devices which cant run iOS6, but still appears in "Updates", which takes up space for legitimate updates.

Works great for controlling AV devices!! **** RECOMMENDED

I install one redeye And it work fine. when I bought more redeyes for the rest of the house and I used from different iPhone-iPad it was terrible, specially when I switch between activities, sometimes its slow and sometimes it doesnt response at all. When this happens I have to reset ALL the redeye all over the house to make them work for a couple of days. ITS ANNOYING!!

Stay away! Absolutely the buggiest piece of junk to hit home entertainment automation. We had 20+ units of the RedEye Pro hardware. Long painful story made short is that the RedEye was conceived and supported by a terrible company run by terrible people. Not surprising that they were forced out of business.

Many problems. Volume goes on its own to the top to bottom when u tap icom 2 it skips many Chanels when looking for Chanels. 3 when punching in Chanel by numbere it will add a number or not respond to other numbers . Its layout is great but it does not work with professional install ..+ more

My only reliable remote

It is important to notice that you need to buy hardware for this application to work. This is stated clearly in the description as well as in the application. I have been using the remote for a couple of years (1st gen redeye) and it has been great. I can turn on my my bedroom tv, cable box and change to my favorie channel with the touch of a button. About a year ago I got a redeye pro that Im using in my family room to control my 3D tv, reciever and Xbox. Eventually, after I finish wiring the house, it will be controlling all the other TVs and my garage door. One thing that i think is great is that now my wife, me and my son have our own remote with our individual list of favorite channels on the guide.

You have to purchase expensive equipment. Completely misleading.

The product is good but the company closd its doors in march. Ive been using it since June 2013 and it works well...the channel guide stopped working a couple of weeks ago. Lets hope that someone buys the companys assets so that it may fully work again.
